Women’s Cross Country: Scots are ready for the MIAC Championships on October 29

Story Links ST. PAUL, Minnesota – The Macalester College women’s cross-country team remains close to home as the MIAC Championships take place in St. Paul on Saturday, October 29. Last year, the Scots finished in sixth place. Junior Maria Blaesing (Munster, Ind./Munster) leads the Scots this season, as she finished first ahead of Macalester in three of the four races the Scots have raced this autumn. Freshman Sky Theodosopolous (San Francisco, California/Bay School) impressed in her debut season, finishing just behind Blaesing in the first two games of the season. Junior Maggie Froh (Milwaukee, Wis./Rufus King International School) also had a strong season. Most recently, Froh led the Scots in 47th place at the UW La Crosse/Tori Neubauer Invitational. Also set for solid results this weekend are freshman Mara Pirone (Carrboro, NC/Chapel Hill), junior Sylvia Greene (Madison, Wis./James Madison Memorial) and sophomore Sylvia Coyle (Wyoming, Ohio/Wyoming).
