NEW DELHI: Mining stocks closed higher in Friday’s session.
Coal India (+1.45%), Madhav Marbles and Granites (+0.61%) and Pokarna (+0.35%) were among the biggest winners.
Oriental Trimex (down 8.00%), NMDC Ltd (down 3.21%), Lexus Granito (down 1.75%),
Dvpt Corporation (decrease of 1.69%), Aro Granite Industries (decrease of 1.37%), Ashapura Minechem (decrease of 1.17%), Orissa Minerals Development Company (decrease of 0.57%), MOIL (decrease of of 0.32%), KIOCL (down 0.22%) and 20 Microns (down 0.06%) were among the biggest losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 49.85 points to 17786.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed 203.01 points at 59959.85.
Maruti Suzuki (+4.98%), Reliance Industries (+3.06%),
Enterprises (up 3.05%), NTPC (up 1.99%), Hero MotoCorp (up 1.5%), Coal India (up 1.45%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (up 1.44%), Bajaj Finserv (up 1.38%), Mahindra & Mahindra (up 1.35%) and Bajaj Auto (up 1.34%) were among the top winners in the Nifty package.
On the other hand, Tata Steel (down 2.5%), Tech Mahindra (down 2.5%), Grasim Industries (down 2.33%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 2.14%), Divis Laboratories (down 2.03%), Hindalco Industries (down 1.81%), ICICI Bank (-1.79%), State Bank of India (-1.54%), JSW Steel (-1.35 %) and Axis Bank (-1.32%) closed in the red.
