Honda has unveiled the second-generation WR-V crossover in Indonesia, where it will go on sale first. The Japanese automaker has rebuilt the new WR-V from scratch, unlike the previous-generation model based on the Jazz. The results of this are quite visible as the second generation Honda WR-V now boasts a unique design and looks more like an SUV than a cross hatchback. The second generation Honda WR-V is built on the same platform that formed the basis for the previous generation City and the latest Honda Amaze.
Second Generation Honda WR-V Design
The popular crossover is now longer, wider and higher than its previous version. Enthusiasts will be pleased to hear that the new Honda WR-V is the production-ready version of the Honda Concept RS SUV. The design is heavily inspired by other Honda SUVs such as CR-V and HR-V sold in various global markets. The 2022 WR-V now has a coupé SUV-like appearance with a tapered roofline and angular tailgate design.

The prominent shoulder line and solid body paneling on the lower part of the doors further accentuate its SUV credentials. The stylish angular wraparound headlamps at the front and slim horizontal LED taillights give the car a sporty look. Honda WR-V is offered in two styling packages, the WR-V E and a sportier WR-V RS version.
Features of the second generation Honda WR-V
The second-generation WR-V has all the bells and whistles, such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic air conditioning, remote control (headlights and engine on/off) and start button—stop. Honda has also gone big on safety with features such as Honda’s proprietary ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), six airbags and electronic stability control.

The all-new WR-V will be powered by the same engine that powers the Honda City in India, a 1.5L petrol engine with 121PS and 145Nm of torque mated to a five-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission.
