North Shore Classic tickets now available

Story Links Tickets to the inaugural North Shore Classic are on sale now. Launched by Total Sports Consulting, the two-day multi-team (MTE) event will be held November 25-26 at the Cannon Activities Center on the BYU–Hawai’i campus in Laie.

Joining the Rainbow Warriors in the inaugural field of four teams are Southern Utah, the State of Texas and the State of Sacramento. UH will also meet city rival Hawaii Pacific the week before, on Saturday, November 19 in Laie, with tickets to that event now also available.

Reserved lower bowl and court seats can be purchased on or by visiting the SimpliFi Arena at the Stan Sheriff Center box office. Use the code TIPOFF to earn 20 percent off your online purchase. UH season ticket holders are eligible for additional discounts and will be contacted by the UH ticket office with more details.

General admission ticket information is coming, and those tickets will be sold through BYU-Hawaii. Free on-campus parking at BYU–Hawai’i will be available for both the North Shore Classic and HPU games.

UH and HPU will clash on Saturday, November 19 at noon, followed by a post-Thanksgiving basketball party the following week. Fans will be treated to a pair of doubleheaders on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 November. UH will take on Sacramento State on Nov. 25 at 3:30 p.m. and Southern Utah and Texas State on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 7 p.m. p.m

Utah Southern and Texas State are a pair of 20-win programs that advanced into the postseason last season. Sacramento State, from the Big Sky Conference, looks set to take a leap this year under the new leadership of veteran collegiate and international coach David Patrick.

The games in Laie are a homecoming for Samuta Avea, a sixth-year UH senior, a graduate of Kahuku High School and from nearby Hau’ula.
