Lionel Messi was once again the hero for PSG as they came from behind twice on Saturday to beat Troyes in a 4-3 thriller.
PSG fell behind in the third and 52nd minutes Quickly recovered Messi catalyst for wild win both times
WHAT HAPPENED? On two separate occasions, PSG’s unbeaten record in the competition appeared to be in jeopardy, but any concerns from supporters were quickly allayed. Carlos Soler canceled Mama Balde’s opener before a brilliant attack from Lionel Messi had the same effect on Guinea’s second goal after halftime. There was a late scare when Ante Palaversa withdrew one for the visitors, but previous goals from Neymar and Kylian Mbappe were enough to see the French champions cross the line in a 4-3 win.
THE BIGGER PICTURE: The win restored PSG’s five point lead over Lens at the top of Ligue 1. In their first 13 games of the season they have dropped points only twice, which is not surprising given the gap in quality between Christophe Galtier’s side and the rest of the teams in the French top flight.
ALL EYES ON: Messi, who else? He continues to show that he is one of the world’s very best players, despite being dropped from the Ballon d’Or shortlist. In 17 appearances in all competitions this season, he has already scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists.

THE VERDICT:
Messi is not alone in good form.
And of course it wouldn’t be a majestic performance from Messi without a comment from Gary Lineker
Another insanely brilliant goal and assist for Messi. The I do things.

WHAT NEXT FOR PSG? Although they are already safe through the knockouts of the Champions League, they must beat Juventus on Wednesday to secure first place in Group H.
