Cartoon Network, the American children’s channel that has produced many well-known animated series, recently celebrated its 30th anniversary; however, his future seems uncertain.

For several days, an image that became popular has been circulating on social networks in which they assure that the channel will close after 30 years to create digital content and merge with Warner Bros.

This information seems to have some truth and some false. Although the merger of Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. Animation is something that many already take for granted, the channel will not close and this was confirmed by his official Twitter account.

“Guys, we’re not dead, we’re just turning 30. To our fans, we’re not going anywhere. We are and always will be your home for beloved and groundbreaking cartoons. Coming soon!” the children’s channel

However, the American media ‘Collider’, a specialist in film and television, reported a few days ago that the merger between the studios Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network is going to take place.

(You can read: This is how Lady Di’s death is recreated in the sixth season of ‘The Crown’).

The announcement was made on Tuesday, which was announced via a company-wide memo from Chairman Channing Dungey and revealed to staff that Warner Bros. Animation (WBA) and Cartoon Network Studios (CNS) will merge to consolidate their animation division. Warner Bros. cites this move as a “strategic adjustment” of the company. Although the two animation studios become one, they will keep their labels.”

While no company has made the news public, it seems that the merger of both studios was misunderstood on social networks, but everything seems to indicate that Cartoon Network, like the television channel we know, will continue to broadcast for a long time to come.
