IPL 2023 Auction: Complete List Of Registered Players OUT, Check 1 Player Targeting CSK, DC, RCB, SRH, KKR, MI, LSG, GT, RR, PBKS Out Of 991 Players LIST

1. Ben Stokes (Sunrisers Hyderabad)

With the highest remaining purse among the franchises, SRH is expected to bid for England all-rounder Ben Stokes. The Hyderabad-based franchise could also be tempted to hand over the lead role to Stokes in the upcoming edition.

SRH needs a captain and an all-rounder who can win all games. Stokes is the ideal player to fit all three roles. Stokes can take responsibility in the middle order. He can also team up with Bhuvneshwar Kumar to bowl in the death overs.

2. Cameron Green (Delhi capitals)

Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting recently hinted that the Capitals franchise has saved a good deal of money to bid for Cameron Green. Green made a name for himself in the shortest format. He opened for Australia against India, hitting 61 off 30 balls in Mohali. He repeated that performance with 52 out of 21 in Hyderabad to catch the attention of IPL franchises. With Rs 19.45 Cr in the wallet, DC goes all in for green.

3. Sam Curran (Punjab Kings)

Ahead of the IPL 2023 auction, Punjab Kings released West Indian all-rounder Odean Smith. They also have a spot available for an international bowling all-rounder. Note that Curran started his IPL career with PBKS and the Punjab based franchise might want to re-purchase Curran.

4. Narayan Jagadeesan (Knights from Kolkata)

The two-time IPL champions released a total of 16 players for the following season, including both Jackson and Indrajith. But with wallet constraints and plenty of spots to fill, KKR could go for some domestic stars. KKR will target Jagadeesan who had a fantastic season in the recently held Vijay Hazare Trophy. The wicketkeeper batter hit 830 runs in 8 matches at an average of 138.33. He finished as the top run-getter.

5. Kane Williamson (Chennai Super Kings)

CSK’s old skipper MS Dhoni is about to play his last IPL season. With Dhoni retiring, the Yellow Army needs a backup skipper. CSK team management could consider buying Kane Williamson and handing over the captaincy to him once Dhoni retires. Note that CSK has INR 20.45 crore in his bank. The four-time champion may have to spend a fair chunk of that sum to get Williamson up for auction.

6. Shivam Mavi (Mumbai Indians)

Having released a large number of players, the Mumbai Indians have no domestic Indian pacers to fall back on. Shivam Mavi with a decent Mushtaq Ali and Vijay Hazare Trophy could be a good match. Mavi is able to break through the 140 km/h limit with ease. With Jofra Archer and Jasprit Bumrah in the selection, Mavi could be a valuable addition.

7. Vasuki Koushik (Royal Challengers Bangalore)

Karnataka’s pacer Vasuki Koushik finished as the leading wicket taker in the recently concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy. The speed demon took 18 wickets in just nine games, with his side bowing out of the competition in the semi-finals. RCB, looking for a real pacesetter in the upcoming IPL auction, wants to land Koushik.

8. Mayank Agarwal (Luckknow Supergiants)

The Super Giants did not have a solid number three on their fourth finish in the IPL 2022 season. They tried as many as six players out of three, but no one could get started. Mayank Agrawal can be their best bet in the IPL mini auction. He can hit aggressively, but also anchor if one of the openers KL Rahul or Quinton de Kock fails at the top. Agarwal had a dismal season in IPL 2022 with PBKS, and the veteran will be happy to prove a point

9. Manish Pandey (Rajasthan Royals)

Ahead of the IPL 2023 auction, Rajasthan Royals released Rassie van der Dussen and Daryl Mitchell, among others. With a powerful batting line-up that includes Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson, RR may need a top order that can play an anchor role. Pandey has a lot of experience in IPL and he can be an ideal number 3 batsman for the Jaipur based franchise.

10. Reece Topley (Gujarat Titans)

The defending champions Gujarat Titans released their fast pacer Lockie Ferguson ahead of IPL 2023. Reece Topley, who was the best white ball artist with the ball for England, could be an ideal replacement for Ferguson. Topley could be an ideal partner for Mohammed Shami to bowl the new ball. The left arm pacer has also shown his ability to bowl in the death overs. It remains to be seen if GT will bid for the long lanky pacesetter or not.
