Honda releases the 2023 CB650R/CBR650R

Honda just introduced their 2023 offering for the very popular CB650R and CBR650R!

For this year, the Japanese multi-conglomerate has given us a very nice set of forks to upgrade both models.

41mm Showa Separate Function Big Piston (SSFBP) USD front suspension complements both machines’ revised Euro5 compliance, with Honda telling us there’s been no apparent power loss in this overhaul (though we’ll see when the units are finally out and about to hit the market).

We also have a range of other smaller updates; if you previously found your LCD screen hard to read, Honda has increased visibility, with a brand new USB-C port (the kind preferred by Android phones and other fast-charging devices) now tucked under the seat.

Other changes to both the CB650R and CBR650R include updated side panels and a revised rear fender, with the CBR650R showing off new headlamp reflectors – oh, and for the CB650R we’ve also got slightly more forward-facing handlebars.

And by the way, Honda gave us a handful of packages to sync with the scoot of choice:

Neo Sport Café Pack (dedicated to CB650R) Front Fender Panels Veil Covers Side Trim Panels Gauge Visor & Stay Sport Pack (Available For Both Machines) Quickshifter Under Cowl Rear Seat Cowl Seat Cowl Plate Tank Pad Comfort Pack (Available For Both Machines) Smoke Front Visor And Grab Handle Heater And Attachment Quickshifter Tank Pad Travel Pack (available for both machines) Tank Bag & Attachment Back Seat Bag & Attachment

bueno.

On to colours. We were given several options, including a very dramatic darkened CB650R.
