Indonesia and other Southeast Asian markets will be the first to receive Honda’s new SUV. It is also expected to appear in the Indian market.
Honda Cars is preparing to unveil a new subcompact SUV for Southeast Asian markets, which could soon make its way to Indian shores. Honda has officially unveiled the first teaser image of the SUV and has actually put it on the road, rather than showcasing it online. Yes, the upcoming SUV has been advertised on billboards all over Indonesia with the phrase “coming soon” – indicating that its global debut could happen very soon.
The image of the SUV, which was previously leaked, is likely to be the latest generation WR-V with several interior and exterior upgrades. Even the silhouette of the SUV on the billboard shows the deviations. Compared to the WR-V or even the RS concept version, the front of the SUV seems to be very clear. The new SUV could indeed be the new RS, according to the official Honda website in Indonesia. It introduced the soon-to-be-released SUV by noting, “Welcoming the New RS.” However, the official name of the model has not yet been announced by the car manufacturer.
According to the billboard image, the SUV will have LED headlights similar to those on the previous-generation HR-V. While the bumper is thick and houses the LED fog lights, the grille will have the RS decal on it. The image also indicates that the SUV will have turn signals on the mirrors and vertical taillights. A roof rail is included with the new Honda SUV RS. The inclusion of Honda Sensing technology in the upcoming SUV has been confirmed by Honda.
Indonesia and other Southeast Asian markets will be the first to receive Honda’s new SUV. It is also expected to appear in the Indian market. The automaker currently sells the WR-V in India’s subcompact segment. After launch, the new SUV will compete against models such as the Maruti Brezza, Nissan Magnite, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet.
