Windermere, Fl. – The Gopher men’s golf team concluded their fall season today with the final round of the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational. The University of Minnesota finished the tournament in twelfth place with a team score of 294-298-297-889. Auburn took first place for the event with a team score of 273-283-281-837.
Notable: Junior Ben Warian collected three birdies in the third round and finished with a score of two-over-par (74). His three-round score of 70-71-74-215 put him in a tie for seventeenth. Senior Antoine Sale recorded one birdie in his round three of four over par (76). He finished the tournament with a tie for forty-fourth with a three-round score of 78-72-76-226. Graduate Lincoln Johnson also finished in forty-fourth place with a score of 78-77-71-226 in three rounds. He led the team with four birdies in the final round and scored one-under par (71). Fellow graduate Jacob Pedersen scored a score of 72-78-76-226 over three rounds, also taking 44th place in the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational. In the third round, Pedersen recorded one birdie en route to a four-over-par (76) score. Freshman Mason Roloff tied for sixty-first with a three-round score of 74-78-79–231 in his first collegiate tournament. He made two birdies in the third round to set a seven-over-par (79) score. Up next: With the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational being their last event of the season, the Maroon & Gold will be back in action in the spring.
