Flashing Open Season at Clarion Open

CLARION, Pa.- The Golden Flashes wrestling team kicks off their season on the road on Sunday, November 6, as they will compete in the Clarion Open hosted by Clarion University.

Kent State is one of 13 schools participating in the event. The others are Brown, Bucknell, Buffalo, Clarion, Cornell/Spartan Combat RTC, Edinboro, Gardner-Webb, Maryland, Navy, Pitt-Johnstown, Pittsburgh and Purdue.

The Flashes are sending 28 wrestlers to compete in the first event of the season, including 14 contestants making their collegiate debuts. Those wrestlers include Ryan Aquilani, Ethan Barr, Josh Boggan, Nico Calello, Dillon Carlson, Colby Dalon, Reece Goss, Jacob Houpt, Keegan Knapp, Billy Meiszner, Kaden Setzer, Zachary Starr, Riley Ucker and Spencer Vos. In addition, Landen Hacker will make his debut in Kent State after his transfer from Virginia.

The event will take place at the Waldo S. Tippin Gymnasium and will be streamed on FloWrestling.
