Drew Theological School Student abby mohaupt receives Woman of Faith Award The PhD student is honored for her contribution to “Women Leading Movements for Positive Change”

October 2022 – Drew Theological School PhD candidate abby mohaupt is a recipient of a Women of Faith Award sponsored by Racial Equity & Women’s Intercultural Ministries and Presbyterian Women, Inc.

This year’s theme for the annual award is “Women Leading Movements for Positive Change,” honoring recipients who have fostered change in their communities and within the Church.

mohaupt, who is director of education and training at Greenfaith, was nominated for her leadership as moderator of Fossil Free PCUSA (FFPCUSA), an advocacy group working to end the Presbyterian Church’s relationship with fossil fuels.

“It is a humble honor to receive this award on behalf of the hundreds of people who have organized in the FFPCUSA for the divestment of fossil fuels over the past 10 years,” said Mohaupt.

“Our work has been built on the shoulders of so many climate justice activists who have called on us to be faithful. My research, activism and faith leadership are indebted to so many.”
