Ka’anapali Classic Final Results

LAHAINA, Hello. – UConn junior Tommy Dallahan shot two undersized rounds, including a 5-under 66, to lead the Huskies in scoring for the second consecutive event as UConn wrapped up its fall schedule by playing in the Ka’anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational on Sunday.

Dallahan (Simsbury, Conn.) tied for 22nd in the huge field of 123 players after a total of 5-under, 66-72-70=208, including his third and fourth rounds of par-or better this season and the fourth sub-70 round of his college career.

Dallahan led UConn to a tie for 13th place in the 20-team field in Hawaii. The Huskies shot a total 3-over, 288-285-282=855, improved in each of the three rounds, and finished with Cal State-Northridge for 13th place.

Oklahoma (811) won the team championship, beating Clemson (823) by 12 strokes. Clemson’s Andrew Swanson (-18) won the individual title.

Also for UConn, doctoral student Jared Nelson (Rutland, Vt.) finished in 40th place with a 1-under, 72-71-69=212, increasing Nelson’s total par-or-better rounds this season to 11 and his total of sub-70 rounds to nine this season and 17 for his career.

Junior Jimmy Paradise (Tampa, Florida) shot a 2-over, 75-71-69=215, to end in a tie for 67th place, sophomore Trevor Lopez (Winchester, Massachusetts) shot a 10-over, 78-71 -74 =223, tied for 104th place, and freshman Colin Spencer (Mashpee, Massachusetts) tied for 118th after a 17-over, 75-80-75=230. Sophomore Vikram Konanki (Newton, Mass.), playing as an individual, shot a 21-over, 79-76-79=234.

With five events completed, the Huskies have completed the fall portion of their 2022-23 season and will take a three-month break before the spring portion of the season kicks off Feb. 6-7 with BIG EAST Match Play at Bear Lakes Country Club in West Palm. Beach, Florida.
