Story Links UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- Penn State women’s ice hockey goaltender Josie Bothun was named to the 2023 Hockey Commissioners Association National Women’s Goalie of the Year watchlist, as announced by the association on Wednesday. The conference offices come up with this first “Watch List” of goalkeepers from the first division programs. A committee of voters — made up of a cross-section of coaches, administrators and media — will ultimately choose the winner to be announced in March at the NCAA Frozen Four. Bothun was one of 27 women’s national ice hockey goaltenders named on the list and one of four from College Hockey America. This is Bothun’s second consecutive year on the list. This season, Wyoming native Minn. posted a 14-8-1 record with four shutouts while recording a .918 save percentage and 2.04 GAA. Bothun and the rest of the Nittany Lions return to action on Friday, January 13 when they host RIT. Puck drop is scheduled for 6pm
