Pakistan was under the pump after losing their first two matches of the ongoing T20 World Cup. The Babar Azam-led squad lost their opening game against India last week, which was followed on Thursday by a demoralizing defeat to roach Zimbabwe. As a result, several current and former Pakistani players have criticized management for their decision-making and roster selection. Players, especially the batters, have also been criticized for their low returns with the willow in the first two games.
After the loss, Babar’s old tweet misspelling Zimbabwe’s name went viral on social media.
“Welcome zimbaway,” Babar had tweeted in 2015, when Zimbabwe had toured Pakistan to play for three ODIs and three T20Is.

When the tweet went viral, fans made fun of Babar for his old tweet resurfacing after Pakistan’s defeat.

Notably, Zimbabwe became the first test country to tour Pakistan (2015) since the 2009 terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team near the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
