– Both bikes get two new colors
– Mechanical specifications remain unchanged
Honda has launched the 2023 models of its medium duty motorcycles, the CB650R and CBR 650R, in Europe. While both bikes remain mechanically unchanged, there are two new color options for each of the CBs.
The naked CB650R is now available in Matt Dim Gray Metallic or Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic. Notably, these will be sold alongside the older shades, including Candy Chromosphere Red and Matt Jeans Blue Metallic. On the other hand, the fully streamlined CBR 650R has been introduced in the new exterior colors Grand Prix Red and Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic. In addition to the new colors, both CBs also feature a darkened engine housing and refreshed decals.
As for the engine, the CB650R and CBR 650R are still powered by a 649cc, DOHC 16-valve, inline four-cylinder engine that delivers 86 horsepower at 12,000 rpm and 57.5 Nm of peak torque at 8,500 rpm. This reel is mated to a six-speed gearbox, along with an auxiliary and slipper clutch. Other features available in the bikes include Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) technology and Honda Ignition Security System (HISS). In addition, a digital display and full LED lighting are also part of the package.
Honda is selling the CB650R and CBR 650R in India with price tags of Rs 9.15 lakh and Rs 9.35 lakh respectively (both prices are ex-showroom). And the aforementioned 2023 colors for both bikes are sure to be introduced to our shores soon.
